More about Sarah

  • 16 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Tennessee and Mississippi with over 15 years of experience working as a therapist for youth and children. I have branched out to include working with adults as well. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, anger management, ADHD, self-esteem, and confidence issues.

My counseling style is warm, down to earth and person-centered. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion . My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, person-centered and solution focused modalities. I am a complete believer in that sometimes it takes a couple tries to find the one "you fit with" in terms of therapist. I may not be the best fit for one person, but will definitely help with referrals as needed. The therapeutic alliance is half the battle.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Sarah is so good at finding worksheets that help me challenge my thoughts. When she comments on what I wrote, it gives me a different perspective on my experience. When we talk on the phone, we discover my triggers which helps her personalize the thereby.
