More about Gina

  • 23 years' experience

I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio and in the State of Florida. I'm also a Registered Art Therapist. I've been a practicing Counselor for about twenty three years. I know that seeking counseling takes courage and a willingness to be vulnerable. I'm honored to support you on your journey of personal growth.

The focus of my work is humanistic and client-centered. Basically this style emphasizes the importance of being your authentic self in order to lead your most fulfilling life. I work to have an empathic understanding for my clients.

I typically work with clients that have issues with anxiety and depression. The interventions that I use are mindfulness and CBT based. I'm comfortable working with clients that are coping with transitional life issues such as divorce, loss, major illness, career transitions, low self-esteem, family problems, and post partum depression.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I'm married and we have a grown daughter, a cat, and a dog. I also enjoy walking and doing yoga. I'm an avid meditator and I've found this practice both professionally and personally beneficial in my life.

I look forward to supporting you and helping you to feel better.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
