Jan is so fantastic! She gives me feedback and the attention I need to get through all the things I’m going through. She gives me just the right amount of homework to get things going but not too much where I feel like it’s homework. It’s actually worksheets and articles that really help me.
Jan is extremely professional and knowledgeable. She is engaging and interactive during our video calls and allows me to work through the issues I am struggling with and, when possible, allowing me to realize the root and damage created by my problem. If I arrive at the correct realization she reinforces my understanding. If I have trouble coming to that realization she continues to make thoughtful inquiries that help me to see what I am missing. Everything is done with a positive flow and direction. That being said, I can see where we are successful bcoz I am seeking a real answer after several previous attempts at solutions with other faith-based counselors. Jan is genuinely wanting to see progress. I am not sure every patient are as ready for an answer, especially if it involves the need for real change in their life. Less mature patients might not be as receptive to her expectation for change and improvement.
Jan really cares about her patients, and it shows and makes a world of difference. She is also understanding yet helpful when offering a different, helpful perspective if there is something I am missing. I love working with her.

I’ve had three sessions with Jan and so far I think she is addressing my needs well. She focuses on my most pressing concerns within my comfort, and tries to make me feel assured and optimistic about my feelings and circumstances, while offering up advices to help me through them and manage them.
Jan is as thoughtful and able to make me feel comfortable opening up as it is clear is a professional with extensive experience. I feel lucky having her.
