Heather is extremely thoughtful, dedicated, and strong therapist. I was a mess (burn out and panic attacks) before meeting her and have found a lot of clarity, put in good boundaries, and feel better about my mental health as a result of working with her. I would highly recommend her especially for females in difficult work environments.

After working with Heather for just a few months my quality of life has significantly improved. She has provided me with the tools necessary to be better equipped for life in general. She has helped me identify various negative factors in my life as well as behaviors in myself that I was not fully aware of and then she proceeded to help me work through them and help set myself up for better outcomes in the future. I am so grateful for her and the help she has provided me!

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years experience working with adults and couples in a variety of capacities including inpatient and outpatient mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, and juvenile probation. I am a commissioned officer and combat veteran, and served nearly 10 years as a clinician with the US Air Force. I received my Masters of Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University in 2007 and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan.

I excel at working with couples, as well as first responders and military veterans. My approach is warm and caring but I am also blunt and will tell you exactly what I think and will encourage you to push yourself to do everything you can to feel better. I will level with you, coach you and motivate you.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
