Amazing

I went to 3 therapists before I found Rachel and she has, by far, been the best! She listens to my concerns and actually gives me tools to help with day to day life but never pushes me out of my comfort zone. She also never judges me which has always been an issue with my other therapists. 10/10 would recommend her!

More about Rachel

I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of Nevada. I have been in the field for over 5 years and work with individuals that experience a wide range of hardships including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and various forms of relationship issues. I also help many people who face physical and sexual trauma, emotional abuse, substance abuse, LGBTQ+ issues, and parental challenges.

As a social worker, I must focus on the whole person. I believe mental health is multi-dimensional and most events in our life shape our mental health. My strategy is to personalize dialog and treatment plans to meet your specific needs. I have experience using many modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Behavior Modification, and Psychotherapy. We will work together to explore which modalities and treatment approaches will help you achieve your personal goals.

I have gained many critical life experiences in fast food, manufacturing, and retail industries along with working as a preschool teacher and children’s caregiver. I believe that this helps me connect with people from various environments and backgrounds.

With work, family, school and everything else life throws at you, it is completely understandable that taking time for yourself can be challenging. The fact that you have taken steps to begin self-care is amazing and I look forward to guiding you through this rewarding journey!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Reviewed December 2021

I’ve seen a few therapists in my life but none as kind, patient, and attentive as Rachel. No matter how my week is going I always look forward to our sessions. She makes me feel seen, heard, challenged, taken-care-of and slowly but surely building me up to eventually be able to handle all of life’s ups and downs in a manner where I can be confident and brave.

Reviewed November 2021

Rachel is an excellent counselor and all around warm person. She has helped me so much in different ways. She is a good listener and very compassionate. We are a good team and I will continue to work with her until I feel strong enough on my own.
