Hello! If you are exploring Better Help, it is likely that you are struggling with something significant in your life. Finding the right person to help you through these challenges is very important. If you don't have a good relationship with your counselor, you won't make the progress you are hoping to achieve. I want to provide you with some information about me in order to help you decide if my experience and style is the right match for you.
I have been a social worker for more than 25 years and have experience working with people from all different backgrounds who are struggling with a wide variety of challenges. Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, , substance abuse, grief and loss, and the challenges of parenting. The feedback I receive from clients is that they find me to be caring and nonjudgmental, and they appreciate that I am honest and direct with them. You can expect me to walk with you through whatever difficulties you are facing and help you learn more about yourself and the way you interact with the world.
I can interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable. I find it helpful to participate in video sessions , via phone ,and text which ever is more comfortable to you. I know how hard it can be to find a counselor who you feel a connection with and I would be honored to work with you through this stage of your life.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She's really amazing, I was scared to start this but she made things a little bit more comfortable to express myself. I would really recommend her for anyone else needing help.

Ethel was very kind and helpful. She listened actively and asked questions which was very encouraging.
Easy to talk to she’s amazing (:
Ethel was a great support during an emotionally stressful period for me. She understood my needs and provided a safe space for me to express my needs and concerns. She also offered ideas/suggestions to help me. I really appreciate her personal care and concern, her flexibility and checking in on me.
We haven’t had much time to work together, with only have completed one session i can’t make make a definitive judgement, but so far so good.
Ethel has been great. I really appreciate her sincere care and concern. She listens, quickly assesses and understands your needs and strikes a good balance of being firm but flexible. She’s very easy to talk to and energetic about helping. And she doesn’t mind incorporating Christian values into her therapy.
Looking forward to working together
