She is the best! I have lots of random things that I think of in between sessions that I usually message her about and she always responds, even if we have a session in a few hours.

After being bounced around by traditional therapy, Ms. Jennifer has given me a sense of stability and the confidence that she will be there when I need her. She hears my concerns/fears and we walk through them together.
More about Jennifer

- Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Tennessee. I have over 13 years of experience working in an outpatient, private practice setting. I have worked with clients (of all ages) with a wide range of concerns including PTSD, depression, OCD, and compassion fatigue. I have worked primarily with combat veterans and victims of abuse/neglect/crime, but have also worked with survivors of medical trauma and natural disasters.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I see our work together as that of a partnership; I may be the expert on psychological interventions, but you are the expert on you! My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, and humanistic therapies. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique needs and desired outcomes.
It takes courage to confront those things that are the most frightening to you, and to seek a life outside of those experiences. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.
Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Jennifer is so easy to talk to and listens to what I have to say. She’s not afraid to ask questions and to try to give me tools to use to try and fix the problem. She is very passionate and cares… I appreciate that.

Dr. Jenn is wonderful! I literally could not have been paired with a better therapist for me and I’m so thankful I found her and BetterHelp.
I had been matched with a couple of therapists before Dr. Hanket-Held and we didn't really click, but she made me feel extremely comfortable and it made it a lot easier to open up. She always gives me her full attention and I feel very heard. She is so friendly and makes it so easy for me to talk about how I'm feeling and what's going on in my life. I always look forward to my sessions with her.
I appreciate the time she spends and the thought she puts into my situation.

Dr. Hanket-Held has been so helpful to me in my time of need. My life has changed thanks to her. Sometimes it’s a simple as needing an outside party to listen and provide perspective. And sometimes it’s not. But she’s been extremely attentive and responsive. Therapy can be difficult for some. But with her it hasn’t been.
I think that she is a great listener and I do feel really heard whenever I talk with her!
Dr. Jenn has been so helpful!
