Prior to private practice, I worked in Academic Counseling and in residential addictions recovery. Currently, I work with individuals ages 14 through mature adulthood. My approach is integrative, embracing both traditional talk therapy and holistic mind-body-spirit techniques. I am a client-centered therapist, and I work with you to create a growth plan designed to meet your needs. We’ll focus on developing positivity, mindful life skills, and personal empowerment in a way that fits your lifestyle. I include spirituality and teach mind-body-spirit strategies that I've developed, especially those that focus on anxiety, stress reduction, and the development of holistic awareness.

Many individuals who seek my services suffer from multiple life issues and conditions. My practice includes women and men who suffer from Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Colitis, Crones Disease, other auto-immune illnesses, Lyme Disease, and other chronicl illness. I work with older adolescents and adults challenged by Attention Deficit Disorder and learning issues. Others suffer from trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, depression, and issues that do not fit into a specific diagnosis. Together we approach these difficult symptoms with techniques that work for you. They might include Cognitive Therapy, Energy Psychology (TFT, EFT, REB), Mindfulness-Based Strategies, self-reflection, and intuitive insight and guidance. If agreed upon, I refer to psychiatrists who do genetic testing for appropriate medication match and to psychiatrists who do neurochemical balance testing and prescribe both medications and nutraceuticals.

Janet Nestor is genuinely a once-in-a-lifetime ally. If you are fortunate enough to become matched with Janet, CELEBRATE!! I was in a dark space when I reached out for help and had little hope that anyone could understand the multitude of events, issues, ongoing traumas, etc., I was, and still am, facing. How could I possibly share decades of ongoing pain? My doubts were erased almost immediately. Janet reached out to me as soon as we were matched. Her words soothed me and we met via video session soon thereafter. I cannot explain her methods because whatever she does produces results that are beyond what should be possible. Within a week or so I trusted her implicitly. I found I didn't need to go over every detail. Janet "gets your pain" with one sentence. She is one of the most intuitive humans I have ever known. She honors my schedule, my feelings, my preferences, my mistakes, my successes ... all of me. The tools and exercises she provides are miraculous. Her breadth and depth of expertise are unmatched and she delivers support in a down to earth, loving, kind, completely non-judgmental way. She will give you what you need before you know you need it. She will support you, be with you constantly, offer practical activities that you never thought of (that work!!!) and if you let her, she will bring out the best in you, renew your hope, show you how to find peace no matter what you're facing, and remind you of what you thought you'd lost. You can get out of bed looking forward to your future again. I'm not sure how she does it, but I'm grateful.
