I've talked to a handful of therapists before, but never felt like they understood what my priorities or concerns were, but I think Priscilla does, and I'd recommend her strongly.

More about Priscilla

My name is Priscilla (pronouns she/her/hers/ella), I am a first generation Latina American from Costa Rica. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I attended Lesley University for Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy. I honor the client’s whole self in treatment, paralleling the nonverbal, holistic approach of Dance/movement therapy. I believe in a collaborative approach, where client and therapist look at the relationship to the self, others, and the environment in efforts of moving towards healing.

I am white, cisgender Latina, my pronouns are she/her/hers/ella. I am an ally to LGBTQIA+ community. My work, regardless of the client’s identity, is gender affirming. I have worked with children and adolescents, and family of their loved ones, for individuals who are in the process of exploring their gender, sexuality and other aspects of the self. I believe psychoeducation is a powerful tool, and with it we can empower the community to align with the basic human rights all are worthy of.

My past work includes school-based therapy, outpatient therapy, residential level of care, and managing an outpatient clinic both through telehealth and in-person. In addition to direct care work, I will be working as an adjunct professor at Lesley University. I primarily work with the Latinx population and am well versed on the multigenerational trauma affecting this population.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
