More about Phoenix

  • LCSW

Hi, my name is Phoenix and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas and Louisiana with over 5 years of experience providing therapy services. I have worked with people challenged by depression, trauma, abuse, stress, anxiety, substance abuse, and life changing situations.

I approach therapy through a client centered approach. I believe you are the expert of your life and determine the direction and depth of therapy. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, motivational interviewing, strengths-based approaches, and solution focused techniques to help clients identify their strengths and create treatment plans with obtainable goals.

It is important to me to establish a safe, trusted, non judgemental, positive environment for my clients. My therapy style is warm and interactive and I meet you where you are using reflective questioning to guide our sessions. You are the most important part of the therapeutic relationship and we will work together to create a tailored treatment plan to help you reach your goals.

Taking the first step to seek therapy can be intimidating and takes courage. I am proud of you for getting started and I am excited to work together in helping you meet your therapeutic goals and reach your greatest potential!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I was a little skeptical to start talking with a professional about how I’m feeling, but after going through something very traumatic I knew I needed help coping with my emotions. I’m so glad I’ve been able to find someone to talk to about what I’m going through and the struggles I’m having. At the end of each session, I feel so much lighter and like I can handle what comes my way with the help of Phoenix Morales. She has given me so many tools to navigate my situation, and I feel like I’m really making progress.
