I am a Licensed Social Worker that has been in practice for 20+ yrs. My practice over the yrs has included working with teens, adults, and families facing multiple life stressors including past and present trauma and abuse. I have found that most clients are incredibly resilient, and find great pleasure in working with them to help them gain the strengths that they already have to navigate daily stressors.
While I use multiple therapy modalities, I consider my base to be Evidence Base Practices, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and or Strength Perspective practices. Additionally, I am trained in Prolonged Exposure as it relates to addressing past trauma .
I see my therapy style as "down to earth, patient and kind." I am here for you, and you get to feel empowered to lead your own therapy.
I would love to work with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Shelley has been great
Shelley is a kind, attentive, and affirming therapist. I feel she understands my anxious / depressive tendencies. After searching for a therapist on and off for the past 2-3 years, I feel I finally found someone who can listen with a supportive nature. After a few short months with Shelley, I have found myself rewiring my brain to have positive thoughts, implementing a daily structure that has been great for my mental health, and most importantly I have gained the confidence to handle life's external stressors, no matter how big or small. When I started seeing Shelley I was completely overwhelmed with work, relationships, family and my own mental health. Now I take all of these things in stride because of her supportive nature and practical advice when experiencing periods of doubt and stress.
Shelley is absolutely amazing. I genuinely look forward to our time. She listens. She’s honest. She’s supportive. I could not ask for a better person to help me figure life out!
I have a strong level of comfort with Shelley. able to express freely how I feel. how I'm doing, what I'm thinking and knowing I can finally trust someone 100%. Grateful that I got her for my Therapist.

Shelley is absolutely amazing. Perceptive and insightful. Shelley is a wonderful therapist.
Shelley is amazing. She is encouraging and understanding, while still being objective and giving me strait non- sugar coated truth- which is what I need. She has helped me tremendously. She has a variety of time availability and checks in weekly, which I also appreciate- because I tend to check out. She reply’s to messages with in reasonable time. And again is an absolute delight.
Shelley is an amazing therapist! I have been to a few in person therapists, and she helped me more in two sessions and some texts than the multiple sessions I had had with others! I highly recommend her!
Shelley is a fantastic listener. She understands me and allows me room to feel my emotions without judgement or criticism. She doesnt just listen to me. She gives me activities to help me in day to day life. She creates an open, welcoming environment for me to express myself. I enjoy every minute of our sessions together.
I thoroughly appreciate having a chance to speak with Shelley about my issues. She is so empathetic and encouraging.
Shelley is extremely kind and open minded to what you are going through. She’s non judgmental and understanding. She will also offer other resources if she thinks they will help better than she can.
Good experience… I see and feel the changes in mood since treatment began.
Shelley has been great. Very calming tone and she is always validating and understanding.
Shelley responds quickly and compassionately, and goes above and beyond in helping her clients. I'm very grateful to have found her and would highly recommend her.
She is really positive and listens to my concerns.
Shelley is amazing. She listens and provides common sense, logical and thoughtful. She made a huge difference in terms of how I have been able to deal with a recent divorce.
I love working with Shelley! She is fantastic in every way. Super knowledgeable and has great insight. Very kind and understanding.
Very kind listener I trust and appreciate.
I love Shelley! She has really helped me make progress in making me step out of my comfort zone and supported me every step of the way.
Is patient, supportive, and knowledgeable. Open to interjections, corrections, and always willing to listen more. Makes the person shes talking with more able to talk about traumatic topics in a lighter manner, that is logical and helpful advice/ practices. Laid back but responsive so you never feel forced into opening up about a topic but when you do, you still feel that it is taken seriously. 10/10
Shelley is a great listener that is armed with a variety of tools. She not only validates my feelings but also educates me in the various elements surrounding my problems. I feel empowered because of her to take the necessary steps to better myself, even if it is little by little.
Shelley helps me sets realistic goals to achieve in order to make progress with the areas I am concerned about. She keeps in touch between appointments and finds ways for me to utilize my strengths in a positive way to cope with anxiety and depression. She is very smart, helpful, and is good at what she does.
She’s kind, compassionate, allows me to feel what I feel and offers ways to separate rational ones and irrational ones so I can navigate my difficult time a bit easier. But her strongest quality to me is her kindness and ability to listen to me without judgement. I value & appreciate her opinions and encouragement to keep going.
Shelley has been a tremendous help to my mental health. She is very responsive and encouraging. I needed someone that could guide me to improving myself and is not just a listening ear. She has great perspective on the issues we've discussed which allows me to see things in a different light then just my own view.
I felt HEARD and it was extremely helpful.
Shelley has been a great resource so far. In my first three weeks working with Shelley I have already grown to be very comfortable talking to her, sharing my life stories, and letting her give me advise. She is very understanding, let’s me talk things out and brings suggestions. I am very happy with working with Shelley.
Shelley is very kind and knowledgeable. As a healthcare worker myself, she truly understands the struggles of compassion fatigue and anxiety.
