Wendy has taken the time to learn how i think and where my thought process goes. She has helped me so much. I can’t begin to explain the transformation that i went through. I have never had a therapist work so well for me before. She is amazing and really amazing at what she does. Thank you Wendy. You’ve changed my life. 1 year no manic episodes thanks to her! She helps me through the week just by having a safe place to vent about things or work through things. The chat option has saved me many times from going down a rabbit hole that is completely unnecessary. :)

Wendy Weston is EXACTLY what I have been needing. She illuminates through gentle pushing, she’s compassionate but doesn’t allow my victim stories, validates me wherever I am, and gives me tools to process my stuff and move forward. She’s been an absolute angel in my life. Without Wendy’s wisdom and guidance, I would have taken many self-sabotaging pathways that would not serve me.

More about Wendy

Hello there. My name is Wendy Weston, and I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Alaska since 2012. I graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and got my Masters degree at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Let me tell you a little about my background.

Since 1999, it has been my privilege to assist families of all ethnic and social backgrounds in various situations. As a military family member myself, I understand the unique issues service members and their families face.

The relationship between therapist and client is essential. The more comfortable you are with your counselor, the more effective the counseling, which is why my approach is client-centered and solution-focused, meaning you decide what you want from counseling then we work together to reach that goal(s).

Sometimes, life’s challenges can seem overwhelming, taking away our confidence in our own abilities. It’s often helpful to have someone outside your life listen to your personal truths without placing judgment. Together, we will identify and use your strengths while adding new coping skills to meet your needs.

I’m excited to get to know you and begin working together.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

I never felt comfortable reaching out for help and was reluctant to but the first call with Wendy, she helped me feel seen. I was able to talk about what was bottled up freely. I felt safe. She genuinely listened offering helpful advice that didn't make me feel like I should've known what to do during these events or after. It's been two weeks so far and I've learned so much and have feel lighter using the tools Wendy mentioned. Thank you.
