I was nervous about online therapy given I’d never tried it before, and it had been years since I went to therapy period, but Carrie has had incredible patience with me through it all. She’s always respected my wishes in regard to pace, trauma practices, etc, and I’m not sure where I’d be without her expertise. Instead of immediately trying to fix my problems, she’s patiently walked alongside me as I unpack and begin to understand my personal trauma and struggles. While it can be scary opening up to someone new and online, ms Leafblad has done an exceptional job at being present with me throughout every single session, which is why I’ve continued to work with her for almost 2 years now. I highly recommend her for anyone but specifically individuals with trauma they’d like to work through as she is extremely well versed in that area of therapy.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I love working with Carrie, she's very patient and she listens. At first I wasn't sure if we were going to be a good fit but I was wrong. She has helped me in the last few months to become aware of certain behaviors that are destructive and that I have been holding on to my whole life. She is warm and very calming. I feel very comfortable sharing anything with her.

I've had 2 sessions with Carrie, and so far, she's been gentlely honest, (as opposed to brutally). I can tell she's going to give me some work to do that may be challenging - which is important to my healing. I appreciate that she's around my age, and has life experiences that give her counseling some substance. I also like the different outlook she's giving me on situations, I definitely see things differently with the guidance she's provided.

I have only met with Carrie one time but I believe that we'll be a good fit. She's very patient and listens to what I say with respect and understanding. I'm looking forward to see where this therapy takes me but I feel confident that Carrie will help me with many of my issues.

Carrie has not only helped me recognize and navigate childhood trauma, but also helped me learn how to heal from it. She has helped me with motherhood, marriage woes, regular life stressors, and so much more. I have full confidence in our sessions providing insights and tools to help me each week! Ms . Carrie Is amazing! She helped me a lot in my time with her and I can’t thank her enough

Reviewed November 2022

I very much appreciated how Carrie zeroed in on an actionable issue by the end of our first session, and assigned homework for how to work on it. I always dread the "getting to know you" period with a new therapist because it feels like the first several sessions are a waste of money. I was pleasantly surprised that Carrie immediately identified little things I mentioned and decisively chose 1 issue to target. I ended my first session with her feeling hopeful that we'd actually accomplish something.

When there is a space in our life to share, learn, improve, and recognize you will make it through these tough times it changes a great deal about the situation. Carrie has been that conduit with her sense of genuine commitment and straightforward plain talk and challenging my thought process for me. I owe her some smiles for sure!

Reviewed July 2022

She’s been an amazing person who has helped me transform my mental health into something much more sustainable and stable. I wouldn’t be here without her.

Reviewed February 2022

Carrie is amazing. She listens when I need to vent but more importantly she has a wide variety of therapeutic techniques, homework, in-session supports, and thinks outside the box on how to help. I highly recommend her!!

Reviewed January 2022

She allows me to speak freely, helps me be transparent with myself and is helping me about my boundaries. I feel comfortable with her.
