Good day and allow me to introduce myself. My name is Michael H. Feldler, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a trained individual, family, group, trauma, and addiction specialist. I have over thirty-four years of experience working with children, adults, and family's in a variety of settings. In addition to my clinical training, I have worked for the past fourteen years as an instructor and supervisor to students on both an undergraduate and graduate level in a college based mental health training clinic. I am skilled in psychodynamic, client-centered, REBT, CBT, DBT, inter-relational, motivational, and family modalities. I believe in the importance of listening to what is being said, recognizing the relevance of motivation towards healing, and providing a safe and secure space to relate both thoughts and feelings. I am a trained group therapist, skilled in teaching as well as conducting sessions for individuals with trauma, addiction, and identified as a sex offender. Often times what brings you into treatment or therapy is just the tip of the iceberg and with exploration we can work on both the direct causes as well as the underlying measures towards health and personal growth. The essence of life is to feel complete, reduce loneliness, and isolation, and ultimately minimize those influences that prevent us from being "the person(s) we want to be." I look forward to hearing from you, establishing a positive and secure relationship and working on what brings you to a helping environment.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

Prof Felder genuinely cares for me & my wellbeing. He listens and remembers my concerns and struggles and helps me to work through them in a way that I may not have seen on my own. I look forward to speaking with him weekly. He has a gift for what he does and I so greatly appreciate that he shares it with me. He is respectful, professional, polite, & kind in his approach and that makes me feel comfortable to tell him everything that is weighing heavily upon me. He has helped me a great deal and I know he will continue to do so. I have recommended him to my friend, Patty Wilkinson, who has recently began therapy with BetterHelp & I cannot wait to see the positive impact it has on her life as it has had on mine! I cannot recommend him enough & words just cannot possibly express my gratitude. I’m so glad I was assigned him and he to me. Perfect placement. Thank you.

Reviewed May 2022

Professor Michael Feldler is a consummate professional. I switched between 3 different therapists prior to being connected to him and the difference was immediately evident. Michael excels as a professor in class teaching young minds and I feel that tutorage in our sessions. He coaches, teaches and analyses.... always pushing me to forge my own discoveries and 'epiphany' moments without having to explicitly describe what needs to be done. He has actively deconstructed my behaviour so I can assess it objectively, listens intently to my words and always meets them with considered opinions, advice or explanations and he takes great pride in his work and helping those he takes on as clients. I feel safe, heard and like I'm actually DOING THE WORK with Michael and I couldn't be more grateful. As I continue to work towards personal life goals, changing behavioural patterns I would like to curb and learning to apply kindness where I once only invested self-loathing, I am beyond grateful to have Michael as my psychological 'Sherpa' to help me do so. Highly recommended and highly praised. Thank you Michael!

It's amazing what he remembers. Either he takes great notes, or his memory is incredible. He listens and tries to get me to think about what I can do to help myself without him telling me outright. But, after a little bit of me struggling and giggling oddly, he will explain why I do what I do.
