Hi there. I'm Sarah Strong, a Colorado-based Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over seven years of clinical experience providing therapy, consultation and education to individuals in a variety of settings including schools, telehealth, and private practice. I have supported individuals through a wide range of mental health concerns ranging from navigating life's transitions to surviving a trauma or navigating more complicated mental health diagnoses. In addition to my broad knowledge base, my specialty areas of focus are parenthood and athletic identity/performance.

As your therapist, you can expect me to be authentic, empathic, collaborative and empowering. I want you to feel that I am part of your team, that I will celebrate and mourn alongside you and that I really believe in you. My approach is integrated, pulling from my previous training and experience in evidenced based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), interpersonal neurobiology and somatic therapy. I am here to support you in identifying and achieving your goals and creating the positive change you are seeking.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

I was afraid to seek counseling, I hesitated when I needed it most, put it off, shuffled my feet and let my problems fester. I finally reached out for help and I do not regret it. I am finally able to talk to someone and organize my thoughts and problems. I have a ways to go but I am grateful for Sarah's listening ear and help.
