Rashida is incredibly skilled in what she does. She listens with intent and finds specific ways to help change my frame of thoughts. I look forward each week to my therapy sessions and make all effort to not go without it. I talk about her effectiveness in every day conversations with my friends so much they have asked if they can have Rashida as their therapist. Rashida’s approach of therapy is an instrumental part of my self care.

I didn't really know the benefit of finding the right therapist until I was matched with Rashida on here. I've previously just gone with whoever I got in real life and it was a disappointment. Rashida is extremely professional and knowledgeable yet makes you feel comfortable, relaxed and - very importantly - HEARD. It feels like Rashida really works with you and guides without pressure or forcing information on you, giving you task after task or rushing you through things. Rashida also seems to remember what you were talking through last time or picks up on things you might not realise are the real issue underneath everything. I really do thing Rashida is amazing. I don't think I would be at the stage I am without her. I kind of don't want to tell everyone how wonderful Rashida is in case I can't get an appointment with her next time lol.

Hi there! I'm glad that you're here. I'd like to offer my support on your journey to stabilize and navigate your current challenges. After reading my profile to see if you think we're a good fit, we can chat about your therapy objectives and create a plan to achieve your goals.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in California. While being attentive, affirming, and positive has always been my personality, counseling wasn't my profession. I have degrees in music performance and research that allowed me the opportunities to explore myself and others in various settings and contexts. As a result, I have experience working with people from all different ethnic, racial, socioeconomic, religious, national, and other backgrounds. Most of my professional life, I have worked with people who experience depression, anxiety, trauma, 2SLGBTQIA+ issues, substance use, parenting complexities, justice-involvement, sex work, homelessness, and chronic pain. New clients quickly learn that I am open to feedback, accepting, curious, and honest. Together, we practice skills that increase confidence to manage present and future challenges.

Since everyone interacts and learns differently, let me know what works best for you to schedule sessions via telehealth or telephone. I am available via text, including most evenings and weekends. If you feel that we are not a good fit, I hope you find a therapist with whom you can grow and develop into the healthiest person you can be!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Rashida is an amazing therapist. She’s so skilled at her ability to read between the lines and assess the root of an issue. I have had so many unlocks with her which I wasn’t sure if I could really achieve in virtual therapy. I look forward to my conversations with her every week and feel a gap on weeks we haven’t. I share gems she’s provided for my personal story with friends/colleagues, and many have asked who is she and is she taking clients?! Highly recommend Rashida- she’s professional, she’s objective, and she’s empathetic with action- she helps push through difficult emotions with reframing and personal accountability.
