I am a licensed professional counselor in Alabama. I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, OCD, panic disorder, social phobia, body image issues, addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders, PTSD, and victims of abuse and exploitation.

My counseling style is based on unconditional positive regard. I believe every client deserves a compassionate, non-judgmental environment to share their difficulties. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

7 long years have gone by since my first (wrong) diagnosis and in all these years of in-person therapy I’ve never found a therapist who’s helped as much as Gina. Gina is incredible. She’s kind, understanding, she never made me feel judged, she’s been firm at times when she needed to, and was always there to help. I recommend her if you want to work hard. It’ll be worth it.

Reviewed January 2022

Gina has helped me so much. When I first came to therapy, I was lost in a fog of trying to understand someone else's hurtful and irrational behaviors that had devastated me. In the very first session, she gave me insights that completely changed my outlook in a positive way. With her help, I'm taking my power back in my life, staying healthy, and changing my situation for the better. Without her help, I'm sure I would still be stuck trying to untangle a skein that had no end. I recommend her to anyone in a similar situation.
