Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I had my skepticism about therapy and enjoyed self reflecting. However this pandemic made me realize that I need help. Sharon has been tremendous help. I feel like I can trust her and she listens. She’s gentle and direct. I enjoy our sessions and can see the difference they’ve made. It’s only been a few sessions but I already feel like she is the family member that I needed, the friend that I needed. I would highly recommend. She’s warm and welcoming. Sometimes you can feel like a mess and judged but with her I feel safe with her and trust her with the truth. I look forward to opening up more. This is my first experience with therapy and she’s made such a positive impression.

I only got to spend a short amount of time with Sharon, unfortunately. She is attentive, kind, and gets right to the point. She explained things to me in a way that I had not heard before, even as someone who has gone to therapy numerous times in the past. She is wonderful and I highly, highly recommend her.

Sharon is absolutely the best. She really listens to you and doesn’t make you feel like you or your feelings don’t matter. She has an aura that makes it easy for you to open up and in sessions it feels like a conversation rather than an awkward encounter. She is definitely my motivator as well and is challenging me in my journey. 10/10 would recommend!!
