Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri, as well as a Registered Art Therapist. During my 10 years of clinical experience, I have worked closely with groups and individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health concerns with my emphases being trauma and crisis intervention. I use a person-centered approach which means our sessions are led by your needs and goals, not a one-size-fits-all therapeutic approach. Stuck in a rut? Not understanding why you just…can’t? I am here to help you process where you currently are mentally and emotionally, and to help guide you into a space in which you feel more aligned with who you are and your vision for yourself. Welcome to your journey!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I am (or..was) a therapy skeptic. I knew it was helpful for many people, but I just didn't know if I'd find value in it. I found the idea of finding a therapist that resonated with me daunting. Alison is a great fit for what I'm looking for. Time to vent, unload, have someone listen and actively converse with me. I felt understood and heard, but I also left with some important facts about my circumstance that I immediately leveraged to my benefit. I've since recommended better help to many friends.

Alison is fantastic, she has opened my eyes to the reality of what I have gone through throughout my life and how that has impacted me now, whilst providing healthy ways forward but always encourages me first to see if I can figure those things out myself, with her guidance of course. She's been accommodating, brilliantly helpful, understanding and is just overall wonderful. I couldn't recommend her enough and feel truly lucky to have her guidance.

She has done a great deal to help me understand my ADHD diagnosis and just, the way my brain works. Gaining that greater understanding of myself has been fantastic.

Reviewed November 2021

She's attentive and picks out key details about our conversations which help me better understand myself and helps me move past some traumas. She's an incredibly helpful person.

Reviewed November 2021

Alison is very understanding and talks to you in a friendly way that makes you feel very comfortable in sharing whatever you are thinking or feeling. She helped to relieve my anxious feelings I had as it was my very first therapy.

Reviewed November 2021

If you have raging ADHD I highly recommend Alison. It takes a great deal of patience listening to me speak, let alone offering help or advice for someone who is very critical of literally everything. Someone give this person a raise.

Reviewed September 2021

She listens. She respects. She responds. I can’t think of a better way to sum her up. Thank you for seeing me.
