Jennifer has been my first therapist, and I’m so glad I was matched with her. After 6 months of therapy I’m happy to say I’m finally doing well and ready to carry on. She stood with me through one of the worst traumas I’ve experienced and helped me manage my feelings, teach me methods to cope, and so much more. She’s amazing, experienced, and I cannot thank her enough for everything she’s done for me. Thank you Jennifer from the bottom of my heart <3

More about Jennifer

  • 8 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida with over 9 years of clinical experience working with children to teens, adults, and families that struggle with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, LGBTQ+, difficulty with adjustment, behavioral and parenting challenges .

I have specialized training and experience working with those who are struggling with a wide range of traumatic experiences caused by domestic violence (verbal, physical and sexual abuse), childhood abuse and neglect, sexual violence, combat related experiences and natural tragedies. Unhealed trauma often results with an individual who will struggle with managing chronic stress, anger, depression, anxiety, addictions, health disparities, low self-esteem and relationship issues.

My counseling style is client driven and strengths based. Trust and having a non-biased, non-judgmental approach are the most important aspects of the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist.

I utilize various therapeutic modalities that include Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT), Rational Emotive Therapy, Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Psychoeducation.

Jennifer is patient, and a great listener. She picks up on the smaller things that I would normally pay no attention to and when she highlights them, I’m able to see them as the key to my current concern. She is wise, but even more importantly, she is kind. And that’s what this world needs- more kind people.

Jennifer has a lot of words of wisdom specific to what I’m going through. She was very quick to figure me out. I don’t know how she was able to make sense of all my ramblings and immediately bestow upon me exactly what I needed to hear. She’s like the turtle in Kung Fu Panda.

Reviewed January 2022

Reviewed November 2021

I look forward to my sessions with Jennifer. I’ve been seeing her weekly for a couple of months now. Some childhood trauma and a recent family emergency led me to therapy. I was not excited about starting this online during a pandemic, but I had no other choice. Jennifer is very flexible with scheduling and patient with technology issues. She has quickly identified my struggles and areas for growth, and I walk away from each session with realistic, manageable strategies for coping with my anxiety. I feel comfortable talking with her, and I feel like she hears and understands where I’m coming from. Having weekly sessions with Jennifer has definitely helped to alleviate some stress in my life and learn how to cope with my anxiety. As someone who gets a bit lost in my own thoughts, I appreciate being able to talk and process for a few minutes, and Jennifer is able to quickly pinpoint what is at the heart of it. She also excels at helping me to draw connections in my experiences and identify the WHY of what is going on. I am grateful to Jennifer and strongly recommend her.
