HELLO!

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in Tennessee (LPC-MHSP) and I have been working in a counseling field since 2015. I have experience conducting individual, family (parent/child duo) and group therapy, in English and Spanish, in-office and online, inpatient and outpatient settings. I have worked with clients presenting with depression, anxiety, relationship and parenting issues, teen concerns, and a wide range of challenges including grief/loss, insomnia, addiction, trauma, abuse, OCD, grief/loss, immigration trauma, as well as personal growth, adjustment issues, and crisis.

I mostly tend to draw from the person-centered approach when in a therapeutic relationship with my clients. This means that I make consistent efforts to meet each client "where they are". My role as your therapist to help you discover who you are and help you manage, understand and overcome any issues you may be having.

In my work with clients, I use a multimodal therapy approach, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SF-CBT), Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I have recently begun training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and am working with a EMDR supervisor. The therapy modality will be tailed to your needs.

My Educational Credentials include:

- Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, graduated 2015

- Licensed by the State of Tennessee, LPC-MHSP, License number 5361

- PhD in progress, tentative graduation December 2021, at Trevecca Nazarene University

I believe in creating a space where we can have difficult conversations, work on resolving issues and collaborate on treatment plans that are tailored to your personal needs and experiences. It takes a lot of courage and motivation to reach out for additional support. I am here for you and thank you for trusting me.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
