I am new to the world of counseling and coming from a background of just "Sucking it up and driving on" this wasn't something I would have ever considered before. I took the leap because I was hitting a low point in my life. Ashlyn was my designated therapist and was very open with me when we first started messaging. She is very professional and effective with communication. I do feel that she is acknowledging everything I am throwing out and providing some guidance to get me started. I am very happy being able to communicate with Ashlyn about the feelings and experiences I have had in the past and being able to express these thoughts without fear of judgement or retaliation.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Pennsylvania with over 6 years of experience working as a mental health professional. In addition to an outpatient therapist, I have also worked as Psychiatric Social Worker in a hospital setting. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, stress, LGBTQ+ challenges, and ADHD. My experience includes working with children and their families as well as couples. Whether you are struggling with anxiety or depression, are in a dysfunctional relationship(s), have been a victim of trauma, are seeking support with stress management, or simply, personal development, I am here for you!

I utilize a holistic approach that is strengths-based and client-centered. I will ensure that all aspects of your "self" are being considered when collaborating to develop a course of treatment. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client centered, mindfulness and building on your strengths to assist you in maintaining personal growth.

Therapy should be just as accepted and non-threatening as going to your family doctor for a physical and I strive to normalize the process and make it as comfortable as possible. You are not someone with a mental illness; you are an individual seeking mental wellness.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.

I’ve only just started with better help so I haven’t had enough sessions yet to fully see all of Ashlyns capabilities but so far I really like her and she seems to know a lot about my specific issues that I need help with. I’ll be sure to update this review in the future when I have more to say but from what I’ve seen I’d recommend her
