Mandy is a compassionate individual who is easy to speak to. I appreciate her weekly check-ins and suggested exercises after our sessions. I didn’t know what to expect because it was my first counseling session but I felt so comfortable speaking with her. I’m happy to have connected with her and have her as my first counselor.

Welcome to online therapy!

*Please note: At this time, I am offering asynchronous communication via text messaging and live chat services only. If you’d prefer other modalities (live phone and/or video call), that is understandable. I encourage you to explore BetterHelp's network of available licensed counselors that will match your preference.

I honor you for taking the time to be here! I know that you are brave because you’re willing to look more closely at yourself. I’m here to be with you through life’s challenges AND successes. If you're looking to find meaning, joy and peace in the present and develop strength-based strategies for the future, look no further!

My name is Mandy Lopez Azimy. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New Mexico. I specialize in parenting issues, attachment disruptions, life transitions, healthy boundaries, relationship issues, self esteem, depression and anxiety. I believe that in order to show up for life and all it's challenges, we must be able to regulate our nervous system, calm our mind, and trust our inner wisdom to give us clear direction.

My approach to treatment is to help you witness yourself through the lens of love, acceptance, and compassion. Seeing yourself in this new way will offer huge relief and the opportunity to go deeper in your healing. Interventions are focused in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Attachment-Based Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) techniques. I bring a clarifying, energizing, and intuitive presence to my sessions. I hold a safe space through non-judgment in order to encourage self-expression.

We will work together to illuminate and resolve any stories, beliefs, thoughts, and unresolved emotions that may unconsciously hinder personal growth. Whether you're having a moment of minor overwhelm or find yourself in a state of panic, you can turn to this platform for solutions and support.

"You are the guru, learn to trust the guidance within you."

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Absolutely love Mandy. She is compassionate, understanding, and gentle. I’m so happy to have found someone who genuinely listens to my concerns and my feelings, she remembers details from one session to the next making each session feel personal and connected. I also like she checks in during the week with a little note letting me know shes though about me and gives suggestions to help me feel well during the week! I hope to stay a client for a very long time, it’s been a while since I’ve found someone who cares as much as she does!
