I am a licensed professional counselor that resides and works in Pennsylvania. I graduated from Duquesne University with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a therapist, I strive to help you connect to your authentic self, which can impact more fulfilling experiences on your life journey Also, as a man of color, I have an empathic style of communication which can connect, guide, and support other minorities in struggling with various interpersonal and intrapersonal issues stemming from obstacles that may affect them in their daily lives.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, anger, panic attacks, relationship issues, divorce, grief and loss, sexual/physical abuse, childhood trauma, career challenges, life event changes, social skills, self-esteem issues, substance abuse disorders, and parenting problems. I also have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My specialty is working with couples and families specifically due to my professional background and personal experiences, which I use to guide my practice. It's a joy to walk help people within their search for healing, insight, and empowerment. I've assisted in improving communication, through learning and building relationship skills, decreasing anxiety, and depression.

My approach to therapy combines Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic/Person Centered, psychodynamic, and rational-emotive counseling with a socially/culturally competent and Trauma -Informed lens to help the client not only recognize their strengths, but also utilize existing support systems, develop new coping skills, effectively respond to crisis and empower the client/family/couple to recognize the solution to their problem already exist inside themselves.

I applaud you in taking the first step in improving your well-being and I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
