My name is Lauren Donato. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 18 years experience. I have a master's degree in forensic psychology and a second master's degree in mental health counseling. Much of my career has been focused on working with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. I understand that living with a disability can have a huge impact in every area of your life which can result in complex behavioral and emotional issues . I have supported many people and their families learn to change their behavior and decrease associated anxiety in order to live their best lives. I use positive psychology so we can focus on your abilities instead of your disability. I also use cognitive behavioral approaches to help you better understand your thoughts and actions.
My personal life has also provided me with insight as well as a drive to further learn how to support people who are coping with issues related to infertility. I can help you navigate through this often isolating and very difficult time in your life, while supporting you with processing your emotions. Throughout my career, I have also gained experience working with people suffering with Anxiety, Depression, and Personality Disorders, as well as people coping with life stressors
