Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wisconsin with over 15 years of experience as a therapist. I have worked with a wide variety of clients in-home, outpatient, and telehealth including children, teenagers, adults, and families. I have experience working with a wide variety of clinical issues as well including (but not limited to) women's issues, ADHD, depression, anxiety, stress, family conflict, parenting problems, life transitions, mood disorders, and trauma.
A main focus in my treatment is establishing a positive therapeutic relationship with the person first and foremost as I believe having a good connection helps facilitate effective counseling and provides the best outcomes. I use a person-centered, holistic, multicultural, and integrative approach in treatment. This means I begin where you are and tailor the treatment plan to your needs while being sensitive to how your individual identity and lifestyle choices impact your experience. I primarily use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, DBT skills, and solution-focused counseling.
I would describe my counseling style as warm, compassionate, supportive and respectful. I believe in individualized therapy and meeting my client's where they are and allowing that to help guide the treatment plan. I believe in working collaboratively to help clients work towards their treatment goals. It takes courage to change and I applaud you for taking steps towards bettering your life. I would be honored to work with you towards your treatment goals!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
