Emily is wonderful. She is so kind and warm; some therapists are a bit too “clinical” and “cold” but not her. She keeps track and remembers every small detail about our conversations. It feels like I’m talking to a friend who has the best advice and ideas on how to handle a situation. I’m so thankful for her, she has helped me improve my life in so many ways.

Hi there!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 7 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, disordered eating, OCD and grief. I also helped many people who have experienced trauma.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach includes a holistic method that incorporates therapeutic interventions drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Strength Based Therapy. Every situation and person is different, so I will be approaching your sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I have found that I truly enjoy the opportunity to have a positive impact on people’s lives. Empowering others to help themselves is a passion of mine. I believe in people and work to build a non-judgmental connection with my clients, which opens the doors for true awareness and growth. It takes courage to take this step, if you are ready I am here to support you.

I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
