My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I've always had trouble finding a therapist that I connect with or that suits me but I love Sherri! She knows what she's doing, she's very professional, structured and to the point but also very warm and compassionate. Even in our first session I found it easy to trust and open up to her.

I don’t even know why I felt so comfortable to talk about the things I have kept so deep down with Sherri but I did. She didn’t judge me, she didn’t make me feel less or that I wasn’t worthy. She takes the time to help you understand why thoughts, feelings, emotions or even actions can be triggered and helps to reframe how you look at yourself. She helped me within such a short time and happy to continue my healing journey with her.

Sherri Fielder is like a breath of fresh air. She is down to earth, great listener and observant of what you are saying and picks up on what your trying to say. She makes you feel very comfortable and really makes you think! I have learned so much in such a short time with Sherri. She has helped me to identify things I didn't realize about myself and prompts me to advocate for myself to have successful solutions and outcomes. She doesn't sugar coat or promise instant progress. She is real, passionate about what she does and has a pleasant spirit.

Reviewed September 2021

Sherri is delightful, seriously, my experience with BetterHelp was a little rocky at the beginning, but once I was paired with Sherri my feelings totally changed. She checks in with my constantly and let’s me know her availability ahead of time so that I can schedule accordingly, which is helpful for the both of us. She provides homework assignments and then discusses my responses and provides reading material so that I can fully understand the scope of the assignment. I trust and value her expertise, and would definitely recommend her to anyone that is looking for a counselor. She’s personable, charismatic, and easy to speak to.

Reviewed August 2021

This is the first time I have participated in therapy/counseling with a professional. I have only met with Sherri once; however, I immediately felt comfortable, understood and seen. I had to reschedule a session due to travel plans but Sherri checked-in with me and offered alternate time slots. I look forward to continuing healing under her guidance and care.
