I am a licensed clinical professional counselor licensed in Maine with over 9 years of experience. I obtained my B .S. in Psychology from the University of Southern Maine and a M.S. in Counseling from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, relationship issues, parenting problems, and career challenges. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, strengths-based, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Audrey is a super calming presence and helps work through problems in such an organic way
Audrey is excellent at listening. She then provides great resources and has helped me to feel better about how to navigate grief, relationships, and more.
I have been using BetterHelp for almost a month. Coming from traditional therapy I was a little apprehensive about BetterHelp, but I was paired with Audrey Shaw and within the span of our first session I knew Audrey was not only a great fit for me but also super attentive and detailed oriented on helping me with the skills/ tools through that app to supplement and support my goals. Thanks a million!
Easy to talk to.
I haven’t been working with Audrey long but I already feel really good about our connection. Finding a therapist you trust and who understands you can be hard. I look forward to working with Audrey more.
