Hi there! Welcome to Better Help. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor through the state of Illinois. My experience includes working with a wide range of adults, through various mental health issues and life changes, such as depression, anxiety, addiction, family stressors, work/career transitions, self-esteem/identity issues, relationship issues, and legal concerns. I have been working in the mental health field around seven years, working in a wide range of settings including: residential, crisis facilities, and correctional facilities. I believe therapy is a collaborative effort in which both the counselor and client work together to reach specific goals. My therapy approach can be described as warm, respectful, and inviting, with a touch of humor. I recognize therapy can be intimidating, and I strive toward creating an environment that feels comfortable for you to be yourself.

Seeking support is often the most difficult step. If you have made it this far, be very proud of yourself! Life can be difficult at times and we all need extra support sometimes to get through the rough patches. I look forward to working with you and helping you along your journey.

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
