More about Joi

  • 3 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Chicago, Illinois with over 3 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients from a wide range of concerns including: post-traumatic stress, depression, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, family conflict, grief and loss, and emotional abuse. Additionally, I have worked in the field of social work and mental health for over 20 years assisting individuals and families.

My counseling style is very empathetic, mindful and client-centered, yet direct and straightforward. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity but most importantly I pride myself on demonstrating compassion for all and being sensitive to the needs of others.

It takes a great deal of courage to seek professional help and even more courage to implement change. However, if you are ready to take the next steps to begin living a more fulfilling and self-empowered lifestyle, I’d love to help guide you along the way.

I look forward to working with you.

Thank you!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
