Alexandria is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist. With over twelve years of experience working with the cancer population, Alexandria has assisted clients in facing many challenging life events. Alexandria has worked with patients as well as their family members in coping with the impact a cancer diagnosis can have on your life. Some of the concerns that arise include: body image changes, intimacy/sexual health, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management and end of life. Alexandria has worked predominately with adults age 18+ however, she has had experience with children and adolescents being impacted by cancer or death. Alexandria utilizes the body as a tool to assist clients in overcoming traumas experienced as well as getting to know the self again after undergoing treatment or life changes. The body holds all of our memories, and therefore, it is one of our greatest avenues toward healing. Alexandria has a client centered approach, discovering from where the root cause of the problem may stem. She also uses cognitive behavioral therapy to assist clients in overcoming patterns or habits that no longer serve them. She has worked with individuals and couples to improve communication skills, explore intimacy concerns and help clients become the best version of themselves possible. Alexandria does have a fulltime job working with cancer patients, and is working part time with Better Help to reach more people that may need counseling services, especially in light of the recent pandemic.

It is a huge step to enter into therapy. You should be proud that you have started to seek out someone that can help guide you along the path as you discover more about yourself, letting go of the past and healing as you move forward into the future. It will be an honor to work with you.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
