As an individual therapist for over 10 years, my background combines psychodynamic understanding with cognitive-behavioral techniques and approaches. I specialize in helping my clients to make connections, and to better identify and understand the patterns of decisions and actions that can often have unwanted consequences on their lives. With this insight, they often have much greater success with breaking negative and harmful cycles in their lives and making more thoughtful decisions. More recently, I have guided my clients through the challenges of quarantine, helping them to identify effective ways to manage their moods and anxiety, to stay connected with others, and to stay informed with limited resources.
My strengths lie in being a warm, attentive, and empathic listener, ensuring that my clients feel heard, understood, and respected, and providing insights that help them to better understand themselves. I ensure that therapy remains focused on the client's goals, meets each client where they are at, and lets the client stay in control of the pace.
I look forward to getting to know you and providing you with support and understanding.

Online counseling allows you to receive care from a mental health practitioner via phone, video chat, or instant messaging. It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Overall rating:
Best therapist I’ve ever had,
Excellent therapist
Dr. Goldberg is the best counselor I have ever had, and I’ve had a number of them. I feel that they will help anyone along their journey of mental health, regardless of how experienced the patient is with therapy or counseling. I’m so very thankful for Dr. Goldberg, and everything that I’ve achieved since counseling has begun. I can truly feel my progress and improvement, and can finally say, for the first time in my life, I’m proud of myself.
I've done three sessions with Dr. Goldberg. My two talking points were loneliness and major life transitions. Dr. Goldberg is an engaged listener and provides great perspective to help me think about paths forward.
Dr, Goldberg is a caring and understanding man who always made the already judgement free atmosphere calm and friendly. He provides reasonable strategies to progress to your goals. He has assisted with me confronting some of my major stressors and has helped minimize them in the short time we have worked together, I would recommend him to anyone but especially to people, who like myself, are maybe little hesitant on therapy
Best therapist I’ve ever had
Dr. Goldberg helped me navigate my issues in a systematic manner. He provided me with strategies and methods to progress towards my goals. I did not feel judged in any way, and was very comfortable while speaking with him. Highly recommend!
