Dr. Hayes was great! She really just let me go on about whatever it was that was going on with me and then she would give her feedback. I wasn’t able to spend too much time with her, but I can say that I’ve learned a couple things from her guidance And I’m gonna continue to try to make those changes and stick with them. She was great, and hopefully I can start obsessions again and come back to her

More about Meredith

I'm a licensed therapist in the state of Illinois. I have been in the field for 15 years working together with people to better their lives. I've been honored to work with many different people going through many different things. My clients have presented with issues such as: Depression; Anxiety/OCD; Addiction; Trauma and Abuse; Eating Disorders; Self-Injury: Bi-Polar; Couples Issues; Life transitions and many more more.

I would describe myself as an interactive therapist, one who is engaged in the therapeutic process. I will play an active role in the therapy process. I would be described as a Cognitive Behavioral therapist. That means that we will review your past and present and consider how they have shaped your current patterns. Psychology Today said " Evidence has mounted that CBT can benefit numerous conditions, such as major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and many others. Research also indicates that CBT can be delivered effectively online, in addition to face-to-face therapy sessions."

I look forward to getting to know you and work with you!

Reviewed November 2021

Dr. Hayes has been great. This is round 2 with her, as we decided to start up counseling again and Dr. Hayes was by far our first choice. She is a great listener and sees us as individuals. Dr. Hayes is open and honest and has built a trust within both of us to also be open and honest. We value her guidance and suggestions very much. These are the early stages of our marital repair and we are hopeful that Dr. Hayes continues to meet with us and teach us. It is our goal to obtain, retain, and utilize the tools and resources she has and is providing.

Even when I’m not the most articulate, Dr. Hayes just gets me and remembers even the smallest details of our discussions so I don’t have to repeat things unnecessarily. She’s supportive, puts me at ease, and also challenges me when needed. I appreciate that God has put her in my path at a time of much change in my life.

Reviewed May 2020

It’s a bit early to review as we just got started. Still, she has proven to be willing to take on the challenge and seemingly enjoys what she does, extending her services beyond the expectations demanded by her wage. I am optimistic.

Reviewed March 2020

Though I’m on the other side of the world, I find Dr Hayes more accessible than someone local to me. I feel she has become to know when I’m not in a great space as she reaches out to me regularly until I respond. For me, I find that very supportive. She has given me some great tips to help me balance my busy career with my personal dramas. I have recommended better help and Dr Hayes to many people.
