More about Alicia

  • 26 years' experience
  • Female
  • LCSW, LMHC, LICSW

I have been working in the mental health field since 1995. I obtained my LCSW, in Idaho, in 2004. My LICSW was obtained in 2009 and my LMHC was obtained in 2001. Both of these licensures are in Washington. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns including ADHD, anger management, OCD, Eating Disorder, Trauma, Anxiety and Depression. I also have experience working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

I have completed the Ramsey Finacial Coach master's training and am comfortable discussing financial concerns that may lead to anxiety or stress.

I believe it is important for an individual seeking services to be able to participate in creating their treatment plan for therapy in order to assure that their goals are met. It is my opinion that a therapist should be open minded so that individuals are comfortable discussing difficult topics.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve you.

Thank you,

Alicia

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Alicia was really wonderful to work with. I've been struggling quite a bit with depression, anxiety, and a lot of overwhelming life changes. She was always open to discussing whatever was important and on my mind for that week, available through messaging and encouraged me to contact her if I needed some support between sessions, and even checked in if she knew things were particularly difficult. I feel comfortable talking with her, and she has helped me look at things from a different perspective and ground my thoughts and emotions. I greatly appreciate how she went above and beyond to help me find support systems, and methods to work through things and ease my anxiety. I would definitely work with her again if needed, and highly recommend her!
