I love helping people! I love witnessing the transformation and seeing the sparkle in their eyes return or intensify. Life is an experience that is full of unplanned, unexpected events that can be difficult to deal with- but it is all surmountable! I truly believe that once we are able to clear away some of the ego, our inner voice/higher self can be heard and that is when incredible shifts in life begin! Shifts that lead to our best selves!

I am licensed clinical social worker who has received extensive training in many trauma focused modalities such CPT, CBT, EMDR and PE. I'm also and Advanced Clinical Heart Centered Hypnotherapist and am blown away with its capacity to transform lives. I am trained to work with children, teenagers, couples and groups. I am also a veteran with over 20 years of experience of military life as both the spouse and service member and therapist.

"No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There's only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to do it..." Lori Deschene. CONGRATULATE YOURSELF FOR TAKING THAT STEP!!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

I was hesitant at first to have a therapist with a military background, but I am so thankful to not have pre-judged because I would have missed out on a caring & competent therapist that I 100% trust & look forward to interacting with each time!

Leah has taught me so much about acceptance, self love, and understanding mental frameworks I've built within myself within only the first few sessions. I look forward to my weekly meetings with her, and bonding with her over our similar interests on spirituality and professions in psychology. I use tools she's taught me every day, and am making huge gains in the direction I desired when starting. I highly recommend her and her unique skill with connecting to your higher self and building self love and trust.

Leah is a VERY personable therapist. She reads my mood and adapts to my concerns and overarching need patterns with the kind of subtlety and touch that only comes with experience. She's made miles of difference in such a short time for me and I'd recommend her to anyone.

I absolutely loved my sessions with Leah! After talking to her about my practice of meditation and yoga she offered heart centred hypnotherapy to me. I had never heard of it before but after Leah explained it to me I was so excited to try it. After each session I felt amazing, like a weight had been lifted off my shoulder. I could not recommend Leah enough!

Reviewed May 2021

Leah is very kind, but firm. She is supportive and at the same time, tells me things I don't want to hear. I appreciate it, though, as a therapist should not just be a sounding board, but make you see and deal with hard truths about yourself. Therapy is painful and slow, but healing as well.
