Trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief related to past and present life events, relationship conflicts, worsening of symptoms, or the bad consequences of even the best decision making can injure your heart and diminish your hope. If this is your time to experience relationship challenges, betrayals, stressors, or losses that unexpectedly provide you with swift kicks that knock you face-first into the dirt, therapy will support you and teach you to develop your own plan to dust yourself off. Here you can regain your strength, and experience the empowerment of reconnecting with your goals while you develop new skills for healing and recovery.

For over twenty years, I have partnered with children, adults, adolescents, and families on their individual journeys of healing and restoration. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Master Addiction Counselor and my approach is defined by your goals, challenges, and the plan that is most supportive of your healing and recovery.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Julia is an incredibly thoughtful therapist. She took her time to get to know me and the issues I am dealing with. She encouraged me when I was right and cheered me on and corrected me when my actions were not beneficial to the process. I would highly recommend her and can’t thank her enough for helping me.

Julia is kind, an excellent listener, and genuinely invested in seeing me progress and succeed in my counseling and life goals. She does an excellent job of re-articulating my concerns and choices for plans of action without "steering" our conversations, or coloring g them with her own biases. I'm so greatful for her help. She's an absolute blessing and I highly recommend her.

Julia is great. I would recommend her to anyone.

Reviewed June 2021

So far so good - only three sessions in, but I like that she takes the time to repeat back to me her interpretation of what I'm trying to express and help me understand it better. She's great at explaining her thought process or defining what she's thinking in a way that's every easy to understand. She's been great at finding articles she think can help me and, as someone who likes to research, it's nice to ready up on things we talk about during sessions.

Julia is an amazing counselor! She helped me navigate and understand my emotions when I was feeling extremely overwhelmed by life. She challenged my perspective which allowed me to switch my thinking from "what should be" happening to "what is" happening which allowed me to become much more present and truly work through my experiences. I now have a better understanding of myself and my triggers and have acquired tools I can use to help me in the future to help cope.

Julia is honest while remaining supportive and encouraging. She really genuinely cares and is always there to help. She goes above and beyond and I have appreciated all aspects of this counseling experience so far.

Reviewed April 2021

It's nice to have a counselor understand what I'm trying to say when I'm having a difficult time trying to explain it. I feel like I've given her a lot of history about why I've been so stuck. It's clear that she really gets it and empathizes with me. I also appreciate her suggestions of some of the concrete steps I can to more easily do some routine tasks, and to improve my overall situation.
