Mary works with individuals who are looking to gain insight into themselves and improve their quality of life. She seeks to understand each individual holistically, including their backgrounds and the strengths they already possess to provide an individualized approach. Mary believes that establishing a strong alliance with her clients is essential to getting the most out of therapy and creating lasting change. Through this alliance, she partners with her clients to explore and address thought and behavior patterns that serve as barriers to enjoying life fully.

Please remember that BetterHelp (or sister site!) is not appropriate if you are in crisis or in immediate need of support. In crisis situations, please call 911 or local emergency services. Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Mary has made me feel comfortable to share and be my most honest self which has helped me address multiple things. She has a calm and understanding approach but can also be direct in her pulling out different points from what I have said. I appreciate the room she has given me to talk and feel heard. Also the accountability she has provided that has helped me a lot. I feel supported, guided and I am actively learning about my own and others behavioural patterns. I would highly recommend Mary.

I have tried counseling before with quite a few different counselors. I have only clicked with two of those. Mary is one of those I feel like I truly benefit from speaking with. She is smart, listens well, and offers great feedback and assistance.

A great counselor is hard to find. Some people search for weeks, months, sometimes even years to find a counselor that just matches their unique vibe. Counselors are like friends, once you find a great one, you can’t let them go. Mary is that counselor for me. She’s become like a friend, it’s so easy to open up and talk to her. I always feel so comfortable, like I can say anything and not feel judged with her. I think everyone, to be honest, starts counseling because they want a 100% unbiased non-judgemental ear. With Mary that’s the vibe you get, like you don’t need to be anything more or less than your authentic self. If you want someone who’s actually going to listen to you, care, and give you uplifting feedback, you’ve found your match with Mary.
