I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia. I graduated in 2004 from Richmont Graduate University. Since that time I have worked with people of all ages and numerous concerns. I particularly enjoy working with those individuals suffering from grief, trauma, and process addictions such as pornography. I believe a client centered approach is crucial regardless of the therapeutic interventions used. Research consistently shows that the therapeutic relationship itself (rather than the technique used) is what produces most meaningful change. In terms of ideologies I often use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Amanda is an incredibly kind human that truly cares for her clients. She has helped me gain a better understanding of myself and equipped me with skills to overcome any problems that I may encounter. I looked forward to every session and I am very grateful for time spent in her care.
As I write this review, I have only spent 2 sessions with Amanda with each session being 30 minutes. So far, I feel very comfortable in talking with her and I feel she does not tell me what to do but encourages me to choose my decisions once we have talked about what I have shared with her. She is very compassionate and I look forward to having more sessions with her.
Amanda has been so helpful to my during this crazy time. I really like her attitude, I find her really easy to talk to, and she offers me actionable ways to deal with my stress and any issues that come up.
Amanda is fantastic at listening and targeting what I need help with. The exercises she has recommended and worksheets I’ve worked through with her have helped me immensely with moving forward with my life and being confident to tackle obstacles on my own.
Amanda was a good listener who responded with solid suggestions to assist me with my circumstances.
She is the best and has helped me to better myself and i thank her deeply for that
