Welcome!

The journey of life can be filled with great joys and many challenges. To walk this journey, it is often helpful to collaborate with those who can walk alongside us on the journey with empathic support. Wherever you are on that journey, I am someone who can partner with you.

I am a licensed professional counselor and registered art therapist who is passionate about holistic wellness. I have a Master's Degree in Art Therapy and Professional Counseling and a Masters of Divinity. I am Person centered, trauma informed and eclectic in my holistic approach to therapy, often utilizing Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist clients in meeting their treatment goals. Being a strengths based therapist, I encourage clients to focus on developing their innate abilities and I empower them to use those strengths to overcome their presenting problems. I also specialize in using creativity and spirituality for those who want to integrate that into their healing journey in counseling. I am also a registered yoga and meditation teacher (RYT-200) who engages mindfulness practices. I have worked in a variety of settings with diverse groups of people of all races, backgrounds and ages from 3 to 80, on a myriad of presenting problems and diagnoses. I am especially able to help with depression, anxiety, grief, and adjustment issues, as a comforting listener and helper on your healing journey.

I look forward to us working together to get you to where you want to be!

Joselyn is an amazing counselor/therapist. There are weeks where sometimes I feel it would be okay to not have a session but every time I end a session with Joselyn, I’m always grateful for that session with her because I feel validated and a burden seems to have lifted. Joselyn is someone that really listens and instead of leading you in a direction, she gently nudges or pushes you to reflect on your own.

Although I've only had 2 sessions with Joselyn so far, she has already helped me shift my perspective on certain things and in turn, lift some of my anxiety off of my own shoulders. She is caring and generous and makes me feel comfortable to express my feelings, which can be hard to do. I look forward to more & more sessions with Joselyn in the near future.

In all my years of therapy, Joselyn is my favorite therapist thus far. She is patient and challenges me to be better. She is also great at reminding me what the heck I wanted to talk about. I appreciate her insightful homework assignments. It feels like I am really getting something out of all this rather than simply talking about my problems. I look forward to our sessions every week.

I’ve been counseling with Joselyn for almost 2 months now, and it worked amazing for me. I had so many worries in life all the time, since when I was young, and my own thoughts were harming me a lot. But after counseling with Joselyn, the ideas and thoughts are much clearer, and now I feel very calm. The homework she gives me, and journaling everyday is working really good for me too. Still there is a long way to go but I’m confident that I can be happier with myself and the choices that I make, and it’s all thanks to Joselyn.
