More about Kenia

  • 10 years' experience
  • Female
  • Psychologist

I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Georgia. I have over 10 years of experience in working with individuals with wide range of concerns. I feel that therapy can help us to heal from the things that hurt us, to uncover new understanding about ourselves and how we relate to others, and help us to find better balance in our lives.

I have a considerable amount of experience in helping others to improve their lives and overcome issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, learning challenges, relationship difficulties, parenting problems, grief, and life stress. Additionally, I have provided services across a variety of setting such as outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, and school. My goal as a therapist is to fully understand the individual needs of my clients and to maintain an environment that is nonjudgmental and supportive. I want clients to feel listened to and safe to express their concerns and ask questions.

I have a collaborative approach to the therapeutic process. I believe that growth happens best when you, as the client, are able to share your ideas and we can work together to problem solve and come up with practical strategies to best meet your needs. I primarily draw influence from the Cognitive-Behavior Therapy approach (or CBT) and Interpersonal Therapy approach. However, it is important for me to meet you wherever you begin on your journey toward mental wellness and improving your life. That is why I tailor my therapeutic approach and treatment plan to what is best for you to be successful.

Thank you for choosing Better Help and me to be a part of this experience to becoming a better you!

I look forward to working with you.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
