  • LMHC

Welcome, Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Florida with over 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and qualified mental health professional. I have worked with clients with a wide range of presenting problems and concerns including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, family conflicts/dynamics, parenting-related issues, trauma-related symptoms, OCD, DMDD, ODD and ADHD.

I am certified in Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT) and have extensive training working with individuals with Tourette's Syndrome and Tic Disorders.

My counseling style is attentive, empathic, and person-centered. I believe supportive psychotherapy in conjunction with psychoeducation is life-changing and can be life-saving. My clinical approach is integrative eclectic therapy, which combines variety of modalities and techniques to best fit your needs.

Grounded in dialogue, I will make it a priority to ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment that allows you to talk openly. As we build rapport and a therapeutic relationship, I will display unconditional positive regard in a objective, neutral, and nonjudgmental manner.

We demonstrate resilience when we expand our understanding and challenge our irrational thoughts that influence our emotions. Together, we will aim to improve symptoms and overcome life's obstacles through self-awareness, discernment and reassurance.

I look forward to working with you!

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Reviewed April 2022

Therapy has been a sore topic for me because it always seemed I could never find the right fit. It’s only a start, but Diego is definitely the right guy. He understands me and is giving me the right things to work on every week. I look forward to more.

A true professional who knows how to help.

Reviewed March 2022

Great guy helps me get up when depressed.

Reviewed August 2021

When I mentioned how I feel in a panic sometimes because something didn’t go the way I wanted it too and felt like I’m about to have a panic attack he helped me realize that I’m probably just a little irritable about it and cause myself to panic. Diego also made me felt safe and cared for when I mentioned having suicidal thoughts in the past and how I’m really afraid to have those same thoughts now. I feel like my mind is a raging storm and he’s my clarity in it all. It may be too soon to say that but it’s how I truly feel.
