More about Patricia

  • 28 years' experience
  • Female
  • LMHC

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in neuropsychology, a Ph.D. in family therapy / social and systemic studies, and a specialization degree in medical family therapy. I have been delivering mental health services for the past 28 consecutive years, both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings, within an outstanding agency and excellent colleagues.

None of us go through life unscathed or without difficult storms that surface, but even after 28 years of providing mental health services, I am still enthusiastic about working with clients and watching them make positive changes with their lives by overcoming negative situations and achieving positive outcomes and staying on a continuum of their own personal self-actualization journey to renewed confidence, resilience, strength, passion and a new essence of contentment and happiness! So, it is not a surprise that my therapeutic approach consists of solution focused and cognitive behavioral counseling within a systemic perspective.

Unfortunately, the pandemic that each of us has had to endure, has brought so much diversity in experiences for all of us, but amidst all of the many negative bombardments we have been confronted with, the one good situation I personally experienced, was the convenience of my medical appointments via telehealth. It was so helpful to me, that it made me broaden my own thoughts of delivering my mental health expertise in the same manner. It made me entertain the idea that people who might not reach out in the former traditional – in office format, would be willing to get their mental health needs met and the treatment they deserve, through the mental health telehealth platform. Therefore, I welcome those of you that this therapeutic paradigm makes a good fit and I am excited to go on a respectful meaningful journey with you in order for you to reach your full potential of positive change with your purposeful life!

Online counseling, sometimes called teletherapy, refers to talk therapy delivered remotely through digital platforms, such as video calls, phone calls, or chat. It can be a great option for people who face barriers to traditional face-to-face therapy, such as those living in remote areas, individuals with mobility issues, or people with busy schedules that make it difficult to attend in-person sessions.

Teletherapy also offers greater convenience and flexibility, allowing clients to access care from the comfort of their homes. Research shows that the treatment outcomes with online counseling are often just as effective as with traditional therapy, providing a viable alternative for individuals seeking mental health support.
