Hello and thank you for checking out my profile page. I am an Individual and family mental health counselor licensed in Florida with 13 years of mental health therapy experience. I enjoy working with client's who feel they struggle with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, parenting problems, career challenges, focus and concentration issues and ADHD. I have diligently studied the understanding of the amygdala in the brain and how the amygdala and hippocampus interprets emotional, physical and sexual abuse that can keep a person feeling stuck in the past and unable to heal and move forward with their lives. I also believe psycho education is important part for you to understand certain types of thinking patterns and behavior reactions as a part of healing.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating individuals with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you're ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you to move boldly into your future!

I look forward to working with you

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

She's excellent and understands me like no one else.

I absolutely adore Jacqueline. My sessions with her are the highlight of my week, and I always feel a tremendous burden lifted off my shoulders when our conversations end. She is an excellent listener and it’s so evident that she cares deeply about what I’m saying and how I’m feeling! She can usually tell exactly what I’m trying to say even when I can’t quite figure out how to explain it. She’s taught me several strategies to cope with a wide range of my anxiety and PTSD symptoms, and I have felt so much more like a real person since I began working with her. Out of all the therapists I’ve had, she is by FAR my favorite.

I’m very comfortable and confident when speaking with her no matter the session. She’s a great listener and provides really good advice. She’s flexible and allows me to maintain my usual schedule

Jaqueline is very affirming. She makes it a point to tell me things I should already know but still need to hear. Things such as "your abuse wasn't your fault," and "your feelings are valid and it's understandable to feel the things you do in your situation." I had been gaslighted into thinking my abusive stepfather was my fault by a previous counselor when I was a teenager (not on better help). Jaqueline has taken the time to hear my story about that, validate my feelings towards the whole situation and affirm to me that she would never blame me for something I was the victim of. TLDR: Jaqueline makes me feel safe.
