Hello! My name is Jessica and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with almost 10 years experience providing therapeutic services. I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings including residential facilities, mental health centers, and wellness centers. I work with a wide range of clients affected by grief and loss, trauma, and relationship challenges which include individual, group, and family sessions.

I received my Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Miami and received by undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Florida.

My approach to therapy utilizes an eclectic approach including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness-based approaches, in addition to systemic family therapies. Additionally, I am certified in Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have extensive experience working with adoption related issues, trauma, and loss. A lot of my work has focused on empowering parents and strengthening families. I am passionate about approaching clients with a client-centered approach allowing them to focus on their own goals and strengths in a warm and safe environment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising on my Peloton, and spending time in nature and at the beach!

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.
