Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.

Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Dr. Richardson is easy to talk to. She is understanding, empathetic and very professional. She finds her way through my jumbled outpourings and can be relied upon to make creative suggestions/recommendations that help me move forward whenever I feel I am pressed down under one of my self-created blocks to clarity. With her perceptive analysis and expert guidance, I always find the way to breathe again. She gets me!

Dr. Richardson has been such a blessing in my life. She has provided a space to speak and think through issues and concerns that are on my mind. She listens and provides perspective, asks questions to understand and gives guidance on how to better process and guide myself through life scenarios.

The level of ease and comfort I get from talking to Dr. Richardson is like talking to a best friend who is totally in your corner. She takes the jumbled mish-mash of your thoughts and words and makes sense of it in such a way that you see clearly the progress you have made and what else you need to do. I love the approach that Dr. Richardson has taken with our sessions of asking the uncomfortable questions then doing the follow up questions. This allows me to be able to process what I just said and really wrap my mind of if it makes sense or if it needs to be explored. Her voice is calming and it puts you in the mind set you are talking to your favorite relative who holds all your secrets.
