Hello! My name is Mary.
Are there changes you would like to make or difficulties and challenges you want to overcome? Have you lost a loved one, a spouse/partner due to divorce or a break up, a job, or a pet and are finding it hard to move forward? Do you have a chronic or terminal illness and are finding it overwhelming to navigate on your own? Do you suffer from depression, anxiety or a mood disorder? If any of these apply to you, I would consider it a privilege to assist you on your journey to wellness.
Working together, my approach is fluid and open to change based on what works best for you. That said, this is a safe, judgment-free space and I value your feedback. Wherever you are on your journey, I'm willing to meet you there and support you in reaching your desired destination.
I have a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. My experience over the last four years includes working as a grief and bereavement specialist at a hospice care facility, working with children ages 3-18 at a community health organization, working with teens and adults in private practice, and facilitating various support groups. Prior to my work as a therapist, I held various part time jobs while being a mom to my four children. After a diagnosis of breast cancer two years ago, I developed a particular passion for working with clients with chronic and terminal illness.
I utilize a variety of techniques and partner with my clients to assist them with achieving their goals. I have had varied experience in the helping field and I am passionate about working with individuals throughout the therapeutic process. I use an eclectic approach to therapy, using various techniques including person-centered therapy, solution focused therapy, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), psycho-education, cognitive behavioral therapy, and art and play therapy.
Please feel free to reach out if you have questions or would like to talk more. I definitely understand that finding the right therapist can take time, and I take absolutely no offense if we try this out and you feel like it isn't the right fit. Overall, I value honesty and want you to feel empowered to do what's best for you.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.

Best therapist I've ever had
Mary is a compassionate person who is excellent at what she does
She has changed my life. I don't know what I would do without her!!
Honestly the best therapist I have had, and the best therapy experience I have encountered. I am extremely happy with how well my therapist and I work together, and how she pushes me out of my comfort zone, only when she knows I am able to handle it! BetterHelp saved my life!
Mary is knowledgeable and supportive. She is always available via journal entries. I count Mary as one of my best friends.
Mary is always great. She takes the time to read my journal entries and works that into our conversation in a helpful way. She is never pushy but keeps my thoughts flowing in a healthy manner.
Mary is exactly what I want in a therapist. She is a great listener and asks questions to encourage self-reflection. Mary shares relevant stories from her own life to guide discussion about difficulties in my own life. I appreciate how Mary always reads and responds to my journal entries that I share, and offers affirmation to make me feel supported. With Mary's help, I have grown enormously in my own self-confidence, ability to advocate for myself, and establishing healthy boundaries in my personal relationships.
I’ve been working with Mary for a while now and I have really seen myself grow throughout the process. She took the time to establish trust within our therapeutic relationship. She pushes me when needed, empathizes when needed, and points me towards great resources to address the things I am dealing with in my life.
Mary is phenomenal, she listens, guides and always knows how to keep me at ease and on track. She is relatable, thoughtful and kind. I don't think I would have gotten through my last 6 months without her by my side. I went through some really extreme and scary stuff but she was always there for me at any moment I needed her. She was always steady and reliable.
Mary is knowledgeable and intelligent. She is always willing to listen and is very responsive. I'm very comfortable in speaking with her about my personal issues.
Mary is the most helpful person I have worked with. She is open, kind, and passionate about her clients. I feel like I have a safe space for vulnerability and honesty at all times. She is also excellent at providing advice on many different levels.
Mary is a rock star. Just keep working with her and trust the process. She will Get you where you want and need to be. It may take some time but you’ll get there with Mary.
Mary is amazing. She is the perfect mix of professional, caring, and warm. I always feel heard, and Mary always has great insights. I appreciate the support I receive.
Having Mary as my counselor on this therapy journey has really helped me these last few months. She is incredibly empathetic, understanding and a source of support. You can be sure that if you have her as a counselor that she will successfully help you too on your therapy journey.
Mary has helped me tremendously. I don’t think I could have been paired with anyone more suited for me! She’s the absolute best!
Mary is compassionate, kind and understanding. I feel understood and safe in her care. I feel privileged to have been assigned to Mary and anyone would be to work with her.
In keeping with my past reviews I must say Mary Bulla is an excellent counselor.
Mary had been amazing. I didn’t really know where to start with therapy at first, but I knew I needed help. She is able to help me with current issues, as well as delving into past trauma and making connections where appropriate. She is also highly responsive to any communication I send and always goes above and beyond to support me. I am truly grateful to her. I highly recommend Mary.
Mary is fantastic. I have used BetterHelp for about 6 months and it has been really helpful. Mary made talking about my concerns easy and judgement free. My once racing mind has found rest and I hope it stays this way.
Mary has been the most helpful person I've ever worked with. She is kind, flexible, relatable, and very passionate about what she does. She makes me feel like a priority and does extremely well at listening while providing tools to help.
I'm not very good at leaving reviews, but I will say this: if you're thinking about starting therapy, do it. I was hesitant because I studied psychology & thought that I knew how to handle things on my own. Boy was I wrong. As the saying goes, we are our toughest critics. Having someone like Mary on my side has helped me so much. She is supportive, kind, understanding, and she's gives some pretty amazing advice. She has definitely made me see things from a different perspective & she's a great listener when I just need to vent. I'm very happy with my decision & my therapist. So much so, that I have recommended quite a few friends & family to join BetterHelp.
Mary is extremely thoughtful and attentive. I feel like I can always count on her.
In just three weeks of having Mary listen and support and encourage me through a difficult time, my self confidence and self assurance has really been boosted. I’m open to hearing if there may be another way for me to do things and it’s been a blessing to know that she validates my concerns and approach in the issue at hand. As a mom who is trying to do the right and best thing for my kids she has been a calm voice in the midst of turmoil.
Mary had been a phenomenal guidance during a hard time in my life.
Mary is extremely kind, patient, and sensitive to my needs. She is an incredible listener and by far the best counselor I’ve ever worked with. I am sooo grateful I found her!!
Mary is absolutely wonderful. I came to BetterHelp and matched with Mary, at a time when my world was falling apart around me. Worry, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem seemed to consume my life. I was losing grip on my relationship, and myself. I had completely lost who I was. Mary is SO positive, compassionate, and easy to talk to. She's the most caring therapist I've ever met. She truly cares about her clients, which for me, is a big deal. We share things in common, which makes it easier for her to understand. She helped me gain a more positive outlook on myself and the situations in my life, consistently tells me how proud she is of me, saved my relationship that was hanging by a thread, and to be very honest, she saved my life. I look forward to seeing her each time and gaining her more and more of her insight. I wish I had found her sooner! Thank you so much for all that you've done and continue to do for me, Mary! You are a wonderful therapist, and a beautiful human being.
Mary is wonderfully understanding and talking with her gave me a lot of relief.
