Dr. Dana has been and continues to be a great support while I work through things, big and small. She shares her knowledge when appropriate, gives helpful advice without ever pushing for something as the "right" solution, and helps me above all, see things in perspective. For me she has made my path into therapy an easy one, as I feel connected and safe which in turn makes me feel comfortable sharing things I may not have with other therapists. I would highly recommend Dr. Dana.

I started counseling 4 months ago and I am amazed at how much it has helped me. When I started I was a wreck emotionally, a lot of situations had hurt me, I used to constantly overthink, judge myself harshly, worry. I was at a hopeless place and would spend a lot of time hurting. Dr Dana is amazing at her job- she has helped me considerably to manage my thoughts and feelings, relax my mind and not carry everything on myself. She helped me see the roots of my problems, and helped me see my worth as oppose to concentrating on other people’s toxic behavior towards me.

I am a licensed mental health professional in Florida, with 20+ years of experience. My approach to therapy focuses on a positive and empowering approach, encompassing a range of techniques from different theories. I will assist you in focusing on your strengths and how you can increase your own resilience and adaptability to help you through difficult times versus focusing trying to change things beyond your control. I believe that mental health is a lifestyle, just as we need to maintain our physical health, mental health requires work and attention too. Mental health is not a 2-sided concept--it is not that you are or you are not mentally healthy, think of it as more of a continuum or spectrum with optimal functioning on end and least optimal functioning on the other end. Where is your health on the spectrum and how can we help you move more into the optimal direction?

There are no quick fixes or magic cures for all that troubles you, but with some lifestyle adjustments you can improve your overall well-being. I would like to help you examine your life and create lifestyle improvements that are unique to your needs and abilities.

It is convenient for those who may have trouble getting to or would prefer not to have in-person therapy appointments. Starting at $65 per week, online counseling is generally more affordable than in-person counseling. A study by researchers at University of California, Berkeley found that online counseling can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy while being more convenient, affordable, and accessible.
