My goal is to help people find meaning and purpose in life, find common pathways between actions and thoughts and create a safe place to find positive solutions. I can find creative ways to approach growth and change in daily lives. For many people, change is difficult, and they cannot move past the barrier of unfamiliar feelings. Together, we find solutions that help move away from anxiety and unfamiliar feelings towards self-confidence.
I am an experienced, trained and Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, Clinical Supervisor for MFT and MHC, and a life coach specializing in treating individuals with mental, emotional or behavioral disorders or couples experiencing relationship distress. I am skilled to treat disorders and the impact these disorders have on an interpersonal level, relationship networks such as social setting, school, dating, marriage relationships and families. I have worked with individuals, couples and families with all types of needs including mental health issues, relationship or family issues, intimacy and sexuality, relationship addiction, co-dependency, self-esteem, abuse in all forms, deciding to separate or breakup and working through the break up for almost 10 years both online and in my private practice. Not only am I a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I consultant as a Family Divorce Mediator, Child Custody Evaluator, a Nationally Certified Parent Instructor and a Qualified Parent Coordinator.
Empathy, compassion and understanding help to take a relational, non-judgmental approach to my work. I aim to make each client feel accomplishment and strength along with realizing their role in finding positive change. I specialize in helping people improve their individual selves or their relationships, move out of feeling stuck, and reduce their anxiety, depression or anger. I encourage a non-adversarial approach in identifying individual, needs and strengths to determine where the breakdown in an individual or relationship occurred in order to strengthen, restructure, reorganize and rebuild.
My innate strength of understanding, empathy, compassion, and integrity is my foundation for professional services. My instinctive strengths help in my ability to effectively identify and determine unhealthy individual or relationship patterns to provide direct, simple and straight forward techniques of communicating. This is instrumental in helping people stay grounded, focused and validated. I am a kind, empathetic, compassionate and thoughtful therapist with a personality and list of skills that sets me apart.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy correspond with my style; However, I prefer to individualize treatment for each client by choosing the specific type of theory or therapy that meets individual, relationship or family needs that target the desired outcome of therapy.

Online counseling, also known as teletherapy, is a method of delivering mental health services through digital means such as video conferencing, phone calls, or messaging platforms. It can be an ideal option for individuals who have difficulty accessing traditional therapy due to geographical distance, time constraints, or personal preferences like privacy and comfort. Many people find it easier to open up from the familiarity of their own space.
Teletherapy has been found to be highly effective, with studies showing that it can produce similar outcomes to in-person therapy, particularly for issues like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. The flexibility and accessibility it offers make it a valuable alternative to conventional therapy settings.

Christine creates a very supportive and encouraging environment. She is very skilful with how she gently questions and encourages further self exploration. I highly recommend Christine as a counsellor.
I sought support suring a particularly difficult point in my life and was matched with Christine based on what I'd said I needed. During the approximately six months I've been working with her, Christine has been an invaluable source of support through what turned out to be a particularly turbulent period of time. She made suggestions and gave me things to work on and helped me to understand where I should be focusing rather than allowing myself to be succeptible to other people who might seek to use me for their own gains. I found her extremely easy to talk to, she showed empathy and quickly responded to messages I sent during times of crisis and went out of her way to ensure that I got support quickly during an emergency. I am so grateful for all the support.
Christine is always there for me. She recognizes my high's and low's and knows how to handle them with compassion and a sense of reality.
Would highly recommend Christine. She has helped me work through so much in a short time. Giving me resources and techniques to do work on my own. I really had the best experience learning from her and her vast knowledge. I would recommend her to anyone.
Christine was understanding and non-judgmental, as I always found it easy to open up to her. She gave clarity towards my situation and had great insight into the dynamics of my relationships. I’d highly recommend her for anyone who is struggling in their relationship.
A great therapist! Gave me wonderful words of advice and wisdom.
I have had a great experience with Christine as my counselor over the last few months. She has been adaptive in finding the best ways to guide me, and yet she has never allowed me or herself to put us on a path that I don't understand or don't subscribe to. I have come very far, and I have felt her support whenever I needed it along the way!
Christine is an amazing therapist. She opened my eyes to the possibility to own my own weird chaotic self and make it work for me instead of fighting against it. I would absolutely recommend her.
I've gone from debilitating anxiety and low mood to flourishing as a capable individual in my time with Christine. She has helped me considerably with understanding people's actions, my own reactions and re-framing my negative thought patterns, which has helped me to separate fact from feeling. I am now able to place necessary boundaries and I understand the importance of being my own parent. Christine has been very accessible through messages and available times throughout my time with her. Thank you so very much for your help.
Christine has been a wonderful therapist. She has challenged me to rethink my thought processes, to try to make concrete progress with “homework”, and has been supportive through our time together. She makes consistent contact in between sessions so that she’s always checking in with you to see how you are. 10/10 would want to be matched with her again.
Christine is a supportive and caring listener. I’ve so appreciated her.
She is just amazing!
Christine has been a wonderful support for me through these last months as I have navigated through grieving the death of my father and some major changes in my personal and professional life. Her kind nature and extremely insightful approach to our work have led to many great conversations that I cherish dearly and lessons that I will certainly hold on to for years to come. I highly recommend booking a session with Christine as soon as you can!
Ms. Whittaker is thoughtful, knowledgeable, respectful, and insightful. Very good experience.
The consultations with Christine have helped me through difficult times while separating from a high conflict relationship. Christine ist very knowledgeable, pleasantly helpful and has provided guidance to making positive changes in my life.
Christine is fantastic at what she does. Has really helped me out of a challenging situation. She fully understands everything I say and finds solutions that will help me. It’s wonderful working with her.
I've had two sessions so far and she listens to me. Even if we both start to talk at the same time, she will stop and listen to what I have to say, then continue to speak afterwards. She is definitely resourceful, she has provided information that are relevant to me and very insightful. I really appreciate her and look forward to continue working on becoming the best version of myself.
She is a great listener and very respectful its an anouer to have her as my therapist
Christine is a very professional therapist and a good listener. She provides me time and space to do independent thinking. When I am struggling with thoughts, she is capable of giving me direct and useful tips. I am glad I spent my sessions with her and being able to work myself through!
Christine is a remarkable therapist with a calm and compassionate demeanor. Her ability to dissect a situation and provide a suitable path forward has helped me figure out certain behaviour patterns and become more aware of myself. She's fantastic.
Christine is amazing. She has me assign myself weekly self-care goals and encourages me to follow through on them. She also has directed me to other resources such as books that have helped me tremendously. She is kind, patient and helpful. I am lucky to have her in my life.

Not only have I been able to make genuine progress in my goals and self development thanks to her advice but she’s been a very kind presence in allowing me to vent my frustrations and fears to her. I can’t thank her enough or recommend her too highly.
Christine is very knowledgeable. Every time I have a session with her I know that she will listen to everything I say and that I can fully trust her. Each time I have a problem I don't know how to resolve, she offers me solutions and support. :)
Very resourceful and pleasent to interact with therapist. Very knowledgeable with regards to narcisstic personality style and NPD. Highly recommended.

I was really impressed by the way Christine understood and was able to assist me.
She is amazing. I wouldn’t be the same person without her.
Honestly every session I had with Christine was incredibly helpful! I looked forward to our chats every week knowing I would gain so much from even just 30 minutes with her. Thanks to her unparalleled knowledge and compassionate guidance I learned so much about myself and how things in my life have brought me to this point. I feel confident knowing I am walking away from this experience with a new outlook on things and a very handy toolbox of techniques and skills to cope with and confront my issues and any other things life throws my way. Thanks for everything Christine, I'm very grateful I had the chance to work with you these past few months!
Alex Christine is a great listener, she makes you come out with your decisions through guidance and a lot of soft skills. With her experience and background she has been of great benefit in dealing with life stress and hurdles. She also answers to urgent requests and treats them as high priority whenever there is a crisis. An excellent coach and Therapist! Thank you Christine
Christine is always kind and professional. She is able to tell me what I need to hear in a delicate but straight forward manner. I trust her completely. I’m very grateful to have a counsellor like Christine.
For someone that was very sceptical about therapy, I have found Christine to be extremely welcoming and helpful!
She is brilliant!
Dr Christine is blessed with a lovely and sympathetic voice, she enables her patients to take maximum advantage of the time allotted with her. Some of our sessions deal with the mundane and quotidian; she is infinitely patient. I use my time to speak out loud a d be held accountable. Follow thru messages w her are enormously helpful I wish I started my relationship w Better Help earlier. Connie
I'm very grateful Christine and I connected. With her help, knowledge, suggestions, support, genuine acceptance and understanding of my personal choices, and with my own desire to educate myself and do the inner work, I can deeply feel myself very much lifted from the traumatized anxious state I was in. I feel like therapy is a team effort and I'm glad she's been such an amazing partner through my learning and healing journey, and still is!
Christine helped me a lot, I feel like she quickly understood my problems and was always able to ask smart questions. She often offered perspective that I did not think of.
I’ve been with Christine for about a year. She has helped me through a lot. And has been the sounding board i needed during big transitions. She is compassionate, kind and empathetic.
Christine has been very helpful in listening to my concerns and providing me with useful strategies to deal with my stress, anxiety and depression.
Kind, compassionate, and very understanding. The first time we talked I felt very warm and safe discussing my issues, and that is huge. Everything else following has just been organic, and so nice to have someone to talk to, who really knows their stuff and provides helpful info throughout the week between counselings.
Have felt helped since the first session. Doing a lot better and have made a lot of progress.
Christine has been the most understanding and helpful process along my journey to better myself. She listens to what I like and do to incorporate how it could better me or not and I am so thankful for her and her work, she is an angel!
Christine is a wonderful woman and therapist. I've been making a lot of self discoveries while working with her and in doing so, my confidence has improved dramatically. I've really needed her gentle support and continuous assurance to heal from abusive relationships and unsupportive abusive family. Before Christine, I'd only tried one other therapist before in my life who was not attentive at all. But Christine is someone who feels like a friend you can go to when you're in need. She suggests important topics or questions to help you think through what it is you want and help you find the right answers to which you seek. I really appreciate her and am glad to have the opportunity to work with her.
I feel like I have a mountain of issues that need to be overcome, but Christine helps me to tackle them one at a time and in a way that helps me and is not overwhelming. Christine is respectful and kind, and I feel that she is genuinely interested in my life when I talk to her. She encourages me and celebrates my progress in terms of mental health and also in other areas of my life. It isn't a magical quick-fix, but she is helping me, bit by bit.
Christine is very responsive and sends a variety of resources to me so I can work on them in my own time. She has a very professional demeanor, and asks me which types of therapy I'd be most interested in. I recommend Christine!
Christine has been an amazing therapist. She provided me with the knowledge and support I needed to leave an abusive relationship. Every time we talk she gives me new insights into my anxieties and coping mechanism, and makes me feel understood.
I've been working with Christine for a few months now and can honestly say I'm in a much, much better place than I was when I started. After my dad passed away when I was 20, I was feeling overwhelmed and like a ticking time bomb. I knew I should speak to someone, but was afraid of not being understood. Christine is an amazing listener asks great questions, but will also (kindly) challenge you when exhibiting harmful or self-deprecating behavior or tendencies. The "homework" Christine gives is very helpful in keeping me focused on what I'm trying to work on throughout the week, and I find our calls to be really structured and productive as a result. I've worked on everything from grief to relationship issues and body/self-confidence with Christine and she's been extremely helpful in guiding me through all of it.
Christine is a very knowledgeable and kind person. I feel listened to during our sessions and her patience whilst I try and find the correct wording to express my thoughts and feelings on a particular issue are very much appreciated. Her prompts and questions are thoughtful and help me to direct our discussions to a more meaningful place. Her suggestions/goals both throughout and at the end of our weekly sessions feel achievable and help to set me up for a week of self-improvement.
Christine is a blessing! Helps switch out of negative escalation of emotions and helps dig at sub conscious level what’s happening. Helped provide guidance in my relationship with common in law
Wonderful counselling, thank you very much.
Christine is extremely easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I feel like we are covering all of the things that are most important to me and I always feel lighter after our sessions.
Christine got straight through to the root of the issue directly and quickly. She recommended a creative way to work through it that really suits me personally. I’ve only had a couple of sessions but I feel we have covered a lot already. Looking forward to continuing on this path of personal growth and development with her.
Christine is an excellent counsellor with an unmatched ability to listen and assess in tandem, getting directly to the heart of the issue with sensitivity and steady patience. My recommendation and gratitude for her expertise are immeasurable.
Wonderful from the beginning!
I am enjoying the help and counseling I am getting from Christine and BetterHelp.
Christine is very understanding of my concerns and needs, she is very good at putting her self in my shoes to see how to help me. The strategies she gave me are still helping me and she has changed how I feel about myself and my confidence. I highly recommend her! She is very easy to talk to and I didn't feel judged at all.
Christine has a very caring and gentle personality. She listens very well, keeps an open mind and asks good questions to get to the bottom of problems. She also takes quite an active role so it feels like you're having a conversation with a good friend who cares for your wellbeing rather than speaking into a sound recorder. The sound recorder experience is what I have had with previous counsellors. It might be effective eventually but I feel very frustrated in the process. Sessions with Christine feel comfortable and productive while hopefully also actually getting to the root of things.
Doctor Christine is an amazing, clever and very compassionate person. She affected me positively in every area of my life from my heath and career to my very toxic relationship. If you are suffering in any area of your life, talk with her and I guarantee and assure you that everything will get way better even more than you can imagine.
Christine is a very lovely woman who has helped me through a lot.
Very supportive with a friendly and caring approach. Very professional. Would recommend.
Christine Whittaker has been helpful in all the possible ways. She’s very understanding and supportive and has a great way of reaching to the roots of the topic discussed. Christine constantly checks up on me between our sessions through the apps messages and keeps things in mind to be discussed thoroughly within our next session. One of the many things that were mostly helpful was her recommendations of the books to read and the different resources that can be looked more into to have a deeper understanding and awareness regarding the matter discussed. In addition to the activities she recommends to do to overcome certain thoughts and help track one’s own progress. I am very grateful that I got matched to Christine!
Christine is a delight. She has helped me start to work through the trauma of being raised by a narcissist and patterns of abuse/codependency in my romantic relationship. I’m so happy that my first experience with therapy has been so positive and it’s all thanks to Christine!
Caring, attentive, respectful. Eager to listen and offers sound advice and tools for me to make my own decisions. Understands what I am going through.
Christine helped me so much with asserting myself more. I felt so full of anxiety and depression before I started, and Christine was patient to give me clarity to make better decisions for myself. I feel much more confident going forward!
Christine was an absolutely wonderful counselor! She helped me realize things about myself that I did not already realize. I highly recommend Christine as a counselor.
Christine Whittaker is an amazing counselor who was there for me when things in my life got difficult. She helped me establish a good emotional basis that I can now use to build a more solid structure for my life. The tips and exercises she gave me, I now use every day and will continue to practice as time goes on. She puts in a lot of hard work and effort which really shows through our sessions. I would definitely recommend her to anybody that needs their emotional basis reorganized and figured out.
Christine is very empathetic, supportive and responsive. She asks great questions that make you think very deeply to understand yourself. She has given me practical tools and strategies that have really helped me to tackle long standing issues with my family relationships. Her support and advice has been enlightening and transformative. I am so grateful for all her help.
Christine was helpful, responsive, empathetic, and overall a great therapist. She helped me address the issues I wanted to talk about and gain a better understanding about myself and my past. She offered good advice and directed me to lots of good resources.
Amazing therapist. Knowledgeable and listens with empathy. I feel she genuinely cares and has helped me so much.
Christine is by far the best person I have ever talked to. She’s prompt, smart, consistent, professional, and courteous. I couldn’t have found a better therapist.
Christine is very considerate and very attentive. The atmosphere that she creates feels really safe and welcoming. I am really thankful that I have her as my therapist.
I found Christine very easy to work with. It was the first time I have ever had counseling and I am really glad I did reach out. Talking to someone who is impartial, non-judgmental, who asked questions and offered advice was just what I needed to work through a difficult time. Christine is a great listener and she asks some pretty deep questions which make you think about what's really important. I would highly recommend Christine.
I would totally recommend Christine. She was very supportive and assertive when counseling me. I like that she was attentive and always kept the communication and the conversation flowing. The information that she gave me was very useful and I would have love to keep in her counseling. She is excellent at romantic relationship issues. :-)
Christine is an amazing counselor! She understands your problems and the line of thinking very fast and gives incredibly insightful and practical advice. I saw improvement really fast because I was able to actually implement the strategies that she taught me right away. If you want to work with a counselor who listens, understands, and actively supports, Christine is the right choice for you!
Christine was very helpful. She helped me understand my problems in a logical manager and helped me shift my thinking. She's very understanding and is great at listening. I liked how she helped deal with my issue in the moment and taught me how to prevent thinking this way in the future. Thank you so much for all your help!
Christine was amazing. I previously had really great results with an in-office therapist and while I had my suspensions, I had very high expectations for online counseling because the one thing I struggled with in-office is feeling as though my therapist was unavailable to me until our next scheduled appointment. Christine was very responsive from day one and even if the time didn't show as available for chat, video or call on her calendar, I would let her know it was urgent and she would fit me in. Among many things, she is a great listener and it is obvious she does not judge, cares about what you're feeling, and truly wants to help you. Words can't express how grateful I am for Christine.
Christine was very responsive and she took time out to understand what my issues were. She did provide some good insights and great advice regarding the situation I was facing. I will surely remember our discussions. Having someone to listen to you and to provide constructive feedback goes a long way. Thank you Christine.
