More about Danielle

  • 4 years' experience

As a licensed mental health counselor I've been trained explicitly in mental health counseling. I received my master's in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. The rehabilitation portion directly applied to training in vocational matters, so regarding careers of persons with disabilities (whether those disabilities are visible or invisible). I worked for about five years in an involuntary commitment treatment center, specializing my experience in matters of suicidal thoughts, depression, homicidal thoughts, anxiety, substance use disorders, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders. We treated the person holistically and factored in all biopsychosocial factors. Couples and/or family counseling was provided if the family was able to participate. Additionally, I've maintained contract work with Vocational Rehabilitation assisting persons with returning to work, applying for disability, etc.

Danielle Eaton is a fantastic supporter, who truly listens to your concerns. It is difficult to find a counselor that will not jump to conclusions or shut you down too quickly. Danielle Eaton is wonderful at listening, taking in all of the information, guiding you, and then diagnosing the issue.

One of the best therapists I’ve met yet. She’s super caring and non-judgmental, no matter how crazy you think you are in your own head. She helped me get through some really dark times in my life.

I have not yet seen a psychotherapist who does not boast about their 'judgment free approach". Yet I have met very few who truly accomplish, and Danielle is one. She comes across genuinely compassionate, and while I have not had many sessions, and cannot yet attest to her efficacy, I can say it is very easy to show her my true self and speak very openly and honestly, and feel listened to.
